Millennial Potash Corp (TSX-V:MLP, OTCQB:MLPNF, FRA:XOD) has appointed Jack Scott as senior vice president, project development, a move aimed at bolstering the company's finance and infrastructure capabilities for its Banio Potash Project in Gabon.
Scott will focus on project financing, development of potash transportation infrastructure, and securing offtake agreements in support of Millennial's ongoing definitive feasibility study (DFS).
“We are excited to have Jack Scott join Millennial Potash as we strengthen our team with additional finance, mining construction and development experience,” said Farhad Abasov, chair of Millennial Potash. “We have worked extensively with Jack on potash and lithium projects over the past 20 years and he is a welcome addition to our strong finance and technical team as we focus on project financing and our ongoing DFS for Banio.”
Scott was most recently chief administrative officer for Alberici Constructors and executive vice president, major projects at Alberici Corp, a $4 billion privately held construction contractor, where he managed major projects and market partnerships across North America.
He also brings extensive mining industry experience, having held board and senior executive roles at publicly traded companies Millennial Lithium and Allana Potash, where he played a key role in advancing Allana's Danakhil Potash Project, ultimately acquired by Israel Chemicals.
Currently, Scott serves as Chair for the Crosbie holding group, whose companies provide marine industrial services in Canada and the Caribbean. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, he has held executive positions across infrastructure development, energy, industrial technology commercialization, and large-scale construction services.
