M2i Global Inc (OTC:MTWO) and Volato Group announced on Tuesday that Nimy Resources has initiated its first shipment of high-grade gallium ore from Western Australia to the United States under their collaboration agreement.
The companies said the material will be distributed to selected defense industrial base companies and academic institutions for analysis to determine refining processes suited to their requirements. The shipment is tied to Nimy’s Mons Project in Western Australia, which hosts a near-term gallium resource reported under the Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) code, alongside rare earth elements.
Nimy reported assay results from its Block 3 area showing gallium intervals exceeding 450 grams per tonne of Ga₂O₃, with ongoing exploration programs aimed at expanding the mineralized footprint across its tenement package.
The collaboration between Nimy and M2i focuses on developing and supplying gallium from the Mons Project as part of a broader effort to establish a Western gallium supply chain. The companies said the initial shipment is intended to support downstream evaluation of processing and refining requirements.
“We are delighted to announce the first shipment of gallium ore from our Mons Project to the United States under our collaboration with M2i Global,” Nimy Resources director Luke Hampson said.
“The milestone validates the high-grade potential of our Block 3 discovery and marks the key step toward establishing a secure, non-Chinese source of this critical mineral for Western supply chain.”
He added that he looks forward to further positive developments from this strategic partnership. “With ongoing expansion programs and a near-term, JORC compliant resource, Nimy is well positioned to deliver reliable gallium supply to support global semiconductor and defense needs,” Hampson said.
M2i and Volato previously announced a proposed merger in 2025 aimed at creating a platform focused on critical minerals and infrastructure markets, combining M2i’s supply chain platform with Volato’s aviation and technology capabilities.
Shares of M2i Group jumped over 39% on Tuesday morning to reach US$0.07.
