Brookcourt deal with global financial client boosts outlook for FY26
Shares in Shearwater Group PLC rose 9% to 51.49p on Tuesday after the cybersecurity firm announced a £9 million three-year contract renewal and expansion with a global financial organisation.
The deal, secured by subsidiary Brookcourt Solutions, includes the renewal of advanced email gateway and insider threat management systems, alongside a significant increase in secure email capacity. Brookcourt will deliver, implement and support the expanded solution across the client’s global operations.
Approximately £2.7 million of the contract is expected to be recognised in Shearwater’s 2026 financial year, with the agreement described as key to meeting full-year market expectations.
Group chief executive Phil Higgins said the deal highlighted “the strength of Brookcourt Solutions’ cyber security capabilities and its trusted relationship with global financial institutions”.
He added that securing a renewal alongside a major expansion underscored the critical nature of the firm’s services and the confidence shown by customers.
The contract also reflects Shearwater’s strategy to grow high-value recurring revenues from core cyber defence offerings, amid a growing pipeline of enterprise-scale security deployments.
