Shares in Tooru PLC (AIM:TOO, FRA:73N) rose 9% to 0.25p after the company confirmed its gluten-free brand OAF will be stocked in ASDA stores from April 2026.
The move marks a significant expansion in retail distribution for the free-from product range, which was launched last year by Tooru’s gluten-free subsidiary, Juvela.
OAF is already available in Tesco stores, where it has achieved growing sales and broader shelf presence. Tesco will add three further OAF products to its free-from aisle after Easter.
Scott Livingston, chief executive of Tooru, said: “Our new OAF brand continues to go from strength to strength as consumers demand healthy and free-from options. This progress is clearly demonstrated by the agreement with ASDA to stock our products in a number of their stores.”
He added: “We are continuing to develop our distribution not only for OAF but across our portfolio from which we expect to deliver additional sales growth as the year progresses.”
Tooru said rising consumer interest in ingredient transparency and dietary-specific food options continues to drive growth in the UK’s free-from sector.
