Advantage NRG, the power and energy arm of UK infrastructure group Hercules PLC (LSE:HERC), has secured £6.5 million in contracted works across two major regional electricity networks.
The contracts run from January to December 2026 and form part of existing frameworks with Electricity North West and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks.
At peak, the works will require up to 52 skilled operatives, marking a significant increase in Advantage NRG’s operational scale and technical output.
Advantage NRG supplies linemen for the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical transmission lines.
Brusk Korkmaz, chief executive of Hercules, said: “The award of these works so early in the year shows the increasing demand for flexible, high-quality delivery of specialist labour as electricity network operators respond to the increased investment across the UK power and energy sector.”

The contracts reflect increased investment in grid capacity and resilience, as network operators respond to rising demand.
According to National Grid proposals, the UK will require £58 billion in infrastructure investment to extend and modernise power networks nationwide.
