Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL, FRA:RGV, OTC:RVSGF) has delivered another strong set of shallow gold drill results from its Kalgoorlie Gold Project in Western Australia, reporting the final assays from its 2025 drilling campaign and confirming continued growth in near-surface gold mineralisation.
The latest results cover the final 16 drillholes completed at the Northern Zone Intrusive Hosted Gold Project, located about 25 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie, and build on a series of encouraging intercepts announced over recent months. Together, the data extend mineralisation to the northeast and confirm continuity across a previously undrilled central saddle area between the eastern and western mineralised zones.

Final assays extend mineralisation footprint
Riversgold said gold mineralisation continues to expand the northeastern zone while also infilling the central saddle area, strengthening confidence in the scale and continuity of the shallow oxide system.
Significant intercepts reported from the final batch of drilling included:
- 8 metres at 5.81 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 46 metres
- 7 metres at 3.48 g/t gold from 48 metres
- 4 metres at 4.09 g/t gold from 54 metres
- 5 metres at 3.13 g/t gold from 41 metres
- 8 metres at 1.23 g/t gold from 44 metres
Additional narrow but higher-grade intersections of more than 4 g/t gold were also recorded, reinforcing the consistency of gold grades across the expanding footprint.

Central saddle zone confirms continuity
Exploration director Ed Mead said modelling suggests the central saddle zone may form part of a broader shallow oxide system overlying the Northern Zone porphyry.
“These latest results, the last of our 2025 drilling campaign, are excellent and continue to excite us as we continue to enlarge the north-eastern gold mineralised zone, and more importantly, have confirmed the continuity of the previously undrilled central saddle zone between the eastern and western mineralised zones,” Mead said.
“Our modelling suggests that this could constitute part of a ~600m-wide zone of shallow oxide mineralisation overlying the Northern Zone porphyry system.”
Riversgold said the Northern Zone is hosted within a tonalite–trondhjemite intrusive unit associated with the Canon Shear, with horizontal gold mineralisation making current drilling largely perpendicular to the mineralised units.

The Leapfrog model will be updated in the next few weeks. The model is constrained via a 25m buffer to all the RGL/Oracle drill hole traces that have been drilled at Northern Zone since 2021.
Development approvals and mining pathway progress
Alongside exploration success, Riversgold continues to advance key permitting and development milestones at the Kalgoorlie Gold Project.
Conversion of the Northern Zone tenement to a Mining Lease remains on track, with the signing of a Heritage Agreement representing a major step forward. The Mine Development and Closure Plan and associated environmental assessments are also progressing with Resource WA.
The company noted that the underlying porphyry system has already been drilled to depths of around 500 metres, with deeper drilling anticipated following the commencement of mining under its planned joint development scenario with MEGA Resources.
Drilling to resume in February 2026
Riversgold has booked a drill rig to commence its 2026 drilling campaign on February 10, targeting further expansion of the shallow oxide gold footprint. A steady flow of results is expected as the program progresses through the March quarter.
“Overall, the outcomes from the 2025 drilling have been very effective in enlarging the shallow oxide gold footprint at our Kalgoorlie Gold Project, and strengthening the MEGA Resources mining scenario for 2026,” Mead said.
Riversgold said drilling in early 2026 will continue to refine its understanding of the project ahead of a future maiden mineral resource estimate, while also supporting mine planning as the company works toward its goal of commencing mining in the first half of 2026.
