SoFi posts record quarterly revenue, adds over 1M members

SoFi Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFI) reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue and membership growth on Friday thanks to strong demand across its lending and financial services businesses.

For the fourth quarter of 2025, SoFi posted revenue of $1.03 billion, surpassing analysts’ estimates of $982 million. The company reported earnings per share of $0.13, also ahead of the $0.12 expected. Adjusted EBITDA reached $318 million, up 60% year-over-year.

Membership growth was a standout, with SoFi adding 1,027,000 new members, bringing the total to 13.7 million, a 35% increase from a year earlier.

The company also reported record originations, with $10.5 billion in total loans, including $7.5 billion in personal loans, up 43% from the prior year.

Other metrics highlighted strong expansion across SoFi’s offerings. Fee-based revenue rose 53% year-over-year to $443 million, while the total number of products held by members increased 37% to 20.2 million. Student loan originations climbed 38% to $1.9 billion, and home loan originations nearly doubled to $1.1 billion.

Looking ahead, SoFi provided guidance for fiscal 2026, forecasting GAAP EPS of $0.60, above estimates of $0.59, and revenue of $4.66 billion, versus $4.54 billion expected. The company expects adjusted EBITDA of $1.6 billion, with a margin of 34%, and plans to increase its membership base by at least 30% year-over-year.

Despite the strong results, SoFi shares fell more than 5% on Friday morning, as some investors appeared to lock in gains after the stock’s recent run-up, and concerns over recent equity offerings and high valuation weighed on sentiment.
