Kairos Minerals completes largest-ever Mt York drill campaign as resource update nears

Kairos Minerals Ltd (ASX:KAI, OTCQB:KAIFF, FRA:YAJ) has wrapped up its largest drilling program to date at the Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia, setting the stage for an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) expected in the first half of calendar 2026.

The December 2025 quarter marked the completion of a 2025 drill campaign spanning the full 4.5-kilometre strike length of the Mt York gold system, with 128 reverse circulation and diamond holes drilled for 26,971 metres. The program was finalised ahead of the Pilbara summer and focused heavily on extending mineralisation at Main Hill, Gossan Hill and Breccia Hill.

Drilling accelerated late in the quarter following the signing of a mineral rights agreement with Pilbara Minerals (PLS), allowing Kairos to test the Main Hill Extension prospect for the first time. Results from this new area are expected in February and are anticipated to feed directly into the upcoming resource update.

Wide, high-grade zones reinforced

Results reported during the quarter continued to demonstrate broad zones of gold mineralisation, including higher-grade shoots at depth and along strike. Standout intercepts included:

  • Main Hill: 51m at 2.42g/t gold from 54m, including 1m at 76.81g/t
  • Gossan Hill: 67m at 1.92g/t gold from 140m, including 6m at 6.91g/t
  • Breccia Hill: multiple intercepts confirming continuity of mineralisation within the banded iron formation host

The company said drilling has extended the ‘Monster’ zone beneath Main Hill and confirmed that mineralisation remains open at depth across the Main Trend, supporting potential for further resource growth.

Importantly, the Main Hill Extension program represents the first systematic resource drilling over that prospect. Any mineralisation defined there is expected to be added directly to the Mt York MRE, currently standing at 1.4 million ounces.

Mining agreement clears path toward development

During the quarter, Kairos also signed a landmark Mining Agreement with the Nyamal Aboriginal Corporation covering the Mt York Gold Project. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation as the project advances towards development, including cultural heritage protection, employment and contracting opportunities, and royalty-based payments once production is achieved.

Roe Hills targets lined up

Away from Mt York, Kairos advanced its Roe Hills Gold Project in WA’s Goldfields, identifying two priority prospects — Terra and Caliburn — as candidates for follow-up drilling. Both targets host broad zones of gold mineralisation and are planned to be drilled in the first half of 2026, with the aim of progressing toward a maiden resource.

Strong balance sheet

Kairos closed the quarter with $25 million in cash after raising approximately $27 million from domestic and international institutional investors. A further $10 million payment from PLS Group is expected in early February, providing funding runway for ongoing drilling, studies and exploration programs.

With drilling complete and assays pending from the Main Hill Extension, attention now turns to compiling results ahead of the Mt York resource update — a key milestone as Kairos continues to move the project closer to development.
