Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) progressed exploration across its 100%-owned gold portfolio in the Yandal Greenstone Belt of Western Australia during the December 2025 quarter, with drilling continuing to define the Arrakis gold discovery at the Ironstone Well–Barwidgee (IWB) Project.

Arrakis discovery: RC and maiden diamond drilling completed
The company completed follow-up reverse circulation (RC) drilling and maiden diamond drilling at Arrakis, with results refining the geological model and confirming a laterally continuous mineralised host unit extending over more than 2.2 kilometres of strike. The mineralisation remains open to the southeast and demonstrates higher-grade potential at depth.
Diamond drilling during the quarter returned upgraded and new intercepts, including 56.5 metres at 1.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 108 metres in hole 25IWBRC0040D, including 14.8 metres at 3.3g/t gold from 149 metres. Other notable results included 37 metres at 0.6g/t gold from 180 metres in 25IWBRC0041D and 17.7 metres at 1.4g/t gold from 309.3 metres in 25IWBDD0011 (estimated true width 10–14 metres), including 8.0 metres at 2.5g/t gold from 310.3 metres.
Arrakis follow-up: Post-quarter assays highlight hanging-wall and oxide potential
Post-quarter, initial assays from a 17-hole follow-up RC program (10 holes reported) confirmed consistent higher-grade mineralisation along the eastern hanging-wall contact, shallow oxide potential beneath thin cover, and strong continuity along strike.
Intercepts included 24 metres at 1.3g/t gold from 136 metres in 25IWBRC0051, including 7 metres at 2.8g/t gold from 137 metres, and 18 metres at 1.6g/t gold from 45 metres in 25IWBRC0056, including 9 metres at 2.9g/t gold from 45 metres.
An additional 1,872 metres of air-core drilling was completed southeast of Arrakis to test stratigraphic extensions. Results are due in early February.
New England Granite: Salusa shallow high-grade hits
At the New England Granite target area, Yandal completed the first half of its air-core drilling program targeting structural features around the intrusive.
Results received after quarter end returned shallow high-grade gold intercepts at the Salusa Prospect, including 6 metres at 6.3g/t gold from 36 metres in hole 25IWBAC173 (including 2 metres at 18.2g/t gold from 36 metres) and 2 metres at 6.0g/t gold from 46 metres in 25IWBAC142 (including 1 metre at 11.3g/t gold from 46 metres).
To support accelerated multi-rig programs in 2026, the company acquired a 21-person transportable exploration camp for mobilisation to IWB in the March quarter.
Corporate: Gordons sale completed, cash rises to $17.3 million
Yandal completed the sale of the Gordons Gold Project to Horizon Minerals. Cash inflows during the quarter included $13.5 million from the October placement (before costs), $2.6 million from the exercise of unlisted $0.11 options, and $3.94 million from the Gordons divestment. The company reported cash of approximately $17.3 million at December 31, 2025.
Yandal appointed geologist Chris Newman as a non-executive director to strengthen technical oversight as exploration activity expands.
Next steps: Assays due in February, drilling restarts in March
Near-term activity includes further Arrakis assay results from 2025 RC (7 holes) and diamond drilling (2 holes) expected in early February, plus air-core results from three lines southeast of Arrakis also due in early February. Further RC and diamond drilling is scheduled to commence in March 2026.
At New England Granite, additional air-core drilling and follow-up RC drilling at Salusa are scheduled for the June 2026 quarter.
At Flushing Meadows (MRE of 268koz at 1.1g/t gold), heritage surveys are planned for late in the March 2026 quarter, with diamond drilling to follow heritage clearance. Preparations are also underway for a broader ramp-up after the wet season, including establishment of the 21-person camp and a late-January management site visit.
