Small cap wrap: Medicus Pharma, OKYO, American Resources...

MustGrow Biologics Corp. (TSX-V:MGRO, OTCQB:MGROF, FRA:0C0) announced the closing of its previously announced non-brokered private placement, raising gross proceeds of $2 million.

The Saskatoon-based company said it issued 4 million units at a price of $0.50 per unit under the offering, which was completed pursuant to the listed issuer financing exemption. Each unit consists of one common share and one common share purchase warrant.

American Resources Corp (NASDAQ:AREC) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Electrified Materials Corporation (EMCO), has begun receiving initial shipments of end-of-life lithium-ion batteries for 2026 at its Noblesville, Indiana, disposition site.

The company said the batteries are sourced from both domestic and international partners, and include a range of chemistries such as lithium iron phosphate (LFP) as well as nickel- and cobalt-bearing systems.

OKYO Pharma Ltd (NASDAQ:OKYO) said on Friday the US Food and Drug Administration has authorized a single-patient expanded access, or compassionate use, investigational new drug application for its experimental eye therapy urcosimod to treat neuropathic corneal pain.

The FDA authorization allows urcosimod, at a 0.05% dose, to be used in a patient with severe neuropathic corneal pain who has limited treatment options and no FDA-approved therapies available.

Shares in KEFI Gold and Copper PLC (AIM:KEFI, OTC:KFFLF, FRA:KMSA) rose 7% to 1.42p on Friday after the company responded to speculation around a possible new joint venture in Saudi Arabia.

The AIM-quoted precious metals group, which is in the mine construction phase in Ethiopia, said its Saudi Gold and Minerals SLA (known as GMCO), in which it holds a 13% stake, is working with local conglomerate AJ Lan Group on a potential deal.

The funding will be provided to SIU Metals Corp, an unlisted Canadian company that will acquire 100% ownership of the Häggån project.
