Ergomed (LON:ERGO), the provider of specialised services to the pharmaceutical industry, has appointed industry veteran Andrew Mackie to the board.
Mackie, who has more than 25 years' industry experience in pre-clinical research, will take on the role of chief business officer.
He has previously held senior research & development roles at the likes of Novartis and Sanofi, and joins Ergomed from Eli Lilly's Business Development team.
For the last 10 years Mackie has been working with Ergomed as a consultant, so he should know the ropes, especially as he has been instrumental in developing the co-development model at Ergomed, acting as the lead negotiator on the partnerships signed to date.
“His expertise and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our services and co-development business and expand into new related areas,” said Rolf Stahel, chairman of Ergomed.
Chief executive officer Miroslav Reljanovic said: “His successful track record in drug development and deal making not only strengthens our capabilities as we continue to advance our co-development pipeline but ensures we have the right team in place as we look to expand through organic growth and acquisitions."
