Kooth shares rise 11% on $2.6m US contract win

Kooth PLC (AIM:KOO, FRA:KO0) shares climbed 11% to 116.29p after the digital mental health provider secured a $2.6 million contract to deliver services to students in a new US state.

Under the one-year agreement, Kooth will offer support to up to 100,000 students aged 13 to 18 through its Soluna platform. The service provides online behavioural health tools, peer support forums and chat-based counselling with state-licensed professionals.

The rollout will be managed by Kooth’s current team alongside newly hired in-state counsellors. The company said the deal strengthens its foothold in the US, where it already operates in California and New Jersey.

Chief executive Kate Newhouse said the win “is indicative of the strength of both our offering and our proven track record of delivery”.

The company also noted that the contract creates a base for future expansion through its “State Alliance Model”, which could attract additional funding and partnerships to broaden services.

Kooth sees growing demand for accessible mental health support for young people across the US.
