RC Fornax PLC (AIM:RCFX) has secured a place as a Specialist Provider on the Ministry of Defence’s revamped engineering delivery framework, a move that gives the consultancy access to a significant pipeline of future work.
The AIM-quoted firm, which provides outcome-based engineering services to the UK defence sector, has been accepted onto the Aurora Engineering Partnership’s Evolve Provider Network, one of the main delivery routes for engineering contracts within the Engineering Delivery Partnership (EDP) framework.
The updated network has cut the number of approved suppliers but aims to increase the share of work awarded to smaller firms to around 25% of total spend. Since it was launched in 2018, the framework has facilitated nearly £2 billion in defence-related contracts.
RC Fornax said its new status as a Specialist Provider would allow it to bid for opportunities matched with its capabilities and collaborate with other partners in the network.
The Provider Network is responsible for around 40% of the framework’s total revenue and is considered central to delivering engineering services for the Ministry of Defence.
Chief executive Paul Reeves said: “Our selection as a Specialist Provider on Aurora’s Evolve network reflects the continued confidence placed in RC Fornax’s specialist engineering capability and delivery model.
"It maintains our access to an important route for ongoing customer engagement.”
While individual contracts remain subject to competition and confidentiality, the company said its inclusion in the network marked further progress in its bidding strategy, supported by recent operational upgrades and targeted hires.
