Greatland Resources highlights record Telfer drilling, standout West Dome hits in December quarter

Greatland Resources Ltd (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF, FRA:G8G, ASX:GGP) has capped off the December 2025 quarter with another strong set of resource development and exploration results at its 100%-owned Telfer operation, as a record FY26 drilling campaign continues to build momentum across multiple growth fronts.

The company completed more than 54,000 metres of drilling during the quarter, keeping it firmly on track to deliver its planned 240,000-metre FY26 program — the largest annual drilling effort in Telfer’s operating history. Results from across the West Dome and Main Dome areas reinforced the potential for multi-year mine life extensions, while regional exploration returned encouraging early-stage hits.

A particular highlight was further high-grade drilling success at the West Dome Underground (WDU), where Greatland reported its highest gram-metre intercept to date, underscoring the scale and continuity emerging within the system.

December quarter drilling highlights

  • 54,204 metres drilled from 756 holes across resource growth and conversion programs
  • Over 106,000 metres completed in FY26 H1, in line with delivery targets
  • Increased drill capacity on site, with additional underground rigs to accelerate work in the March 2026 quarter

West Dome Underground gains momentum

At the WDU project, 11 holes for 6,284 metres were drilled during the quarter, with assays from a further 10 holes returning what Greatland described as “exceptional” results.

Standout intercepts included:

  • 55.3m at 7.4g/t gold and 0.43% copper from 427m
  • 27.0m at 9.3g/t gold from 495m
  • 50.2m at 2.8g/t gold and 0.36% copper from 263m

The company said the mineral system continues to increase in size to the south and remains open along strike and down dip. Three diamond drill rigs are now operating at WDU, with a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate targeted for the March 2026 quarter.

“Our record 240,000m annual drilling program at Telfer has continued to deliver very promising results in the December quarter, which strongly support the potential for multi-year Telfer life-of-mine extension from both open pit and underground opportunities,” Greatland managing director Shaun Day said.

Open pit and near-mine confidence builds

At the West Dome Open Pit, Greatland completed nearly 21,000 metres of resource growth drilling and more than 19,000 metres of resource conversion drilling. With Stage 7 extension drilling completed early in the quarter, drill capacity has now shifted to the larger, multi-year Stage 2 extension opportunity.

The company said conversion drilling is increasing geological confidence in both near-term mining areas and longer-term extensions, helping underpin the remainder of the FY26 mine plan.

Meanwhile, 7,756 metres were drilled at the Main Dome Underground across 86 holes, targeting resource growth and conversion at several near-mine prospects. Growth drilling confirmed and extended mineralisation at ESC South and Kylo, with multiple zones now considered “mine-ready”.

Regional exploration adds optionality

Beyond Telfer, Greatland advanced exploration across its broader Paterson and Yilgarn portfolios.

Paterson region projects.

Key regional developments included:

  • Big Tree (South-East Hub): Down-dip and along-strike extensions confirmed beneath historic drilling
  • Thomsons: Identification of down-dip mineralisation and high-grade east–west veins, including 0.62m at 35.06g/t gold
  • Paterson South Farm-In: Drill testing at the Teague prospect intersected encouraging gold and pathfinder mineralisation.
  • Ernest Giles: First-pass drilling of IP anomalies returned anomalous gold, with mineralisation remaining open

During the quarter, Greatland completed Stage 1 of its Paterson South farm-in, earning a 51% interest and forming a joint venture with Rio Tinto. The company is now well positioned to advance Stage 2 and potentially lift its stake to 75%.

“Resource growth and conversion drilling in the West Dome Open Pit and Main Dome Underground continue to enhance our geological confidence in near term mining areas and longer-term extension opportunities,” Day said. “In total, over 100,000 metres of new resource growth drilling will inform our next Telfer Mineral Resource update in the March 2026 quarter.

“The quarter’s regional exploration results are encouraging, both in the Paterson and at our Ernest Giles project, an Archean greenstone in the Yilgarn region.”
