Risers and Fallers including Arria NLG, Rightster, Gulfsands, ECR Minerals, Phorm, Ortac and more

Rightster was higher after the digital video distribution and monetisation network said it has been enlisted by Universal Studios to promote the film Minions.

Here are some major share movers at 4pm on Wednesday.....

Risers

Arria NLG (LON:NLG) up 40%. Despite not moving much on the news, shares rocketed today after results yesterday showed it has trimmed its losses, and a share placing raised £3.75mln.

ECR Minerals (LON:ECR) up 12%. Shares in the company lost 16% this week when it announced its loss before tax for the six months to end March widened to £1mln. They rebounded today however as the price dipped low enough to entice investors.

Rightster (LON:RSTR) up 11%. The digital video distribution and monetisation network has been enlisted by Universal Studios to promote the film Minions.

Fallers

Phorm (LON:PHRM) down 38%. Yesterday, the company announced it made a pre-tax loss of £40mln in 2014 and said it was exploring funding options in the short term.

Ortac Resources (LON:OTC) down 15%. A £600,000 discounted share placing pulled back the company. The money will be used to exercise an option to buy a stake in a Zamsort, a Zambian copper miner.

Gulfsands Petroleum (LON:GPX) down 7.1%. The company told investors this week it is preparing a new US$22mln funding to repay creditors and boost working capital.

RISERS

Kennedy Ventures (LON:KENV) up 33.3%. A major manufacturer of electronic components has agreed to buy the production from Aftan’s Tantalite Valley mine in Namibia. Kennedy has a 75% stake in Aftan.

Edenville Energy (LON:EDL) up 14%. The company has formally submitted the mining licence application for the Rukwa coal project in Tanzania.

Surgical Innovations Group (LON:SUN) up 18%. Shares rebounded after taking a tumble yesterday.The company said on Tuesday it had entered talks with lenders after a review indicated it may miss the earnings covenant on its loan.

FALLERS

Lightwaverf (LON:LWRF) down 21%. The company, which makes products for the internet of things, revealed that "constrained" revenue means that full year figures are now expected to be similar to last year's.

Oilex (LON:OEX) down 19.5%. A statement today revealed the company had requested a halt to trading in its Australian shares “pending the outcome of a proposed capital raising.”

Independent Oil & Gas (LON:IOG) down 16.8%. The cash-strapped company has not received the £145,000 due yesterday from a third party and the CFO and COO have had to buy £50,000 worth of shares to ensure the company has sufficient capital to last until the end of this month.

RISERS

Sirius Minerals (LON:SXX) raced up over 78% to be the top London riser as it revealed a committee of the North York Moors National Park Authority had approved planning permission for the giant York potash site.

Serco (LON:SRP) added 12% as it told investors trading in the first half of 2015 has been better than expected and maintained its expectations for the full year.

Brewery giant Greene King (LON:GNK) added 1.3% as full year profits beat expectations.

FALLERS

Copper giant Antofagasta (LON:ANT) shed 0.58% in early deals. Yesterday, Deutsche repeated a 'hold' and targeted 650p - down from 684p - the current price.

Speedy Hire (LON:ADY) dropped 31% as it revealed CEO Mark Rogerson had stepped down and warned that its 2016 results would be significantly below expectations.

Ortac Resources (LON:OTC) dropped 15% as it reported on a discounted placing to raise £600,000, which will allow it to exercise a previously announced call option to further invest in private firm Zamsort.
