The exchange also welcomed 40 new listings, including 10 fundamental changes to existing issuers, bringing the total number of listed securities to 742 by year-end.
For December 2025, trading volume of CSE-listed securities totaled 1.5 billion shares with a trading value of $713 million. During the month, 140 financings raised $404 million, and the exchange added two new company listings, including one fundamental change.
Richard Carlton, the CSE’s chief executive officer, described 2025 as a successful year for the exchange.
"Trading volume on the exchange increased substantially compared to 2024, while total financings completed by our issuers reached a five-year high, and the total capital raised reached a four-year high,” he said. “We were pleased to see strong financing activity across a number of sectors, most notably mining.”
Carleton also highlighted the company’s acquisition of the National Stock Exchange of Australia. “We should see the first Canadian companies listing on the NSX in the first quarter; in addition to more Australian companies joining the market down under,” he said.
“With junior capital market conditions continuing to improve, we expect 2026 to be another exciting year for our stakeholders."
