Star Minerals Ltd (ASX:SMS) has restarted grade control drilling at its Tumblegum South Gold Project, 40 kilometres south, southeast of Meekatharra, with MEGA Resources coordinating the program.
The drilling campaign is expected to total about 4,000 metres, with 611 metres completed before Christmas.
Managing director Ashley Jones said MEGA’s geological team “made good progress” before the break.
“The MEGA Resources’ geological team made good progress on the grade control drilling before Christmas and are now continuing the program. We look forward to results coming through during January.”
Star said the closely spaced grade control holes will be used to refine mine planning and the production schedule, guiding ore and waste boundaries to support more efficient mining and improved economic outcomes at the deposit.
