Yandal Resources eyes high-grade continuity at Arrakis as RC drilling confirms predictable gold system

Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) has reported a fresh batch of reverse circulation (RC) drilling results from its Arrakis prospect in Western Australia, highlighting consistent mineralisation and reinforcing the potential for higher-grade gold continuity along a more than 2.2-kilometre mineralised trend.

Assays have been received from 10 of 17 reverse circulation holes drilled in late 2025 at Arrakis, part of the Ironstone Well–Barwidgee Gold Project. The program tested the mineralised structure on broadly 200-metre-spaced sections, ahead of planned closer-spaced drilling later this year.

RC results point to consistent geometry

Significant intercepts from the first batch of results include:

  • 24 metres at 1.3g/t gold from 136 metres in hole 25IWBRC0051, including 7 metres at 2.8g/t gold
  • 18 metres at 1.6g/t gold from 45 metres in 25IWBRC0056, including 9 metres at 2.9g/t gold
  • 8 metres at 2.7g/t gold from 95 metres in 25IWBRC0054, including 6 metres at 3.3g/t gold
  • 6 metres at 1.8g/t gold from 159 metres in 25IWBRC0053, including 3 metres at 3.1g/t gold

6,350mN cross-section showing all drilling results from 25IWBRC0053, 25IWBRC0054 and 25IWBRC0056, highlighting the strong high-grade continuity on the eastern hanging-wall contact of the Arrakis trend. The section location is shown in Figure 2. The section shows all drilling within +/- 50m of the section plane.

Yandal said the results confirm a laterally continuous, northwest-striking mineralised structure with a relatively simple and predictable geometry. Higher-grade gold continues to be associated with the eastern hanging-wall contact, a feature the company believes could be important for targeting deeper, potentially higher-grade mineralisation.

The drilling has also demonstrated the potential for shallow oxidised mineralisation immediately below a thin veneer of transported cover, typically between 4 and 20 metres thick.

A collar plan over the Arrakis Prospect within the Caladan target area, showing simplified bedrock geology interpretation. All Yandal drilling is plotted (historic drilling has been excluded). Collars are thematically coloured by max Au (g/t) in the hole. Dashed yellow polygons represent air-core regolith anomalies (Results include ~4m @ 0.1 g/t Au or greater, with the upper profile or the bottom-of-hole sample is 0.1g/t Au or greater). Dashed purple lines represent heritage surveyed 100m-spaced lines to support 2026 drilling.

Strike continuity builds confidence

Several holes were designed specifically to test mineralisation continuity along strike, including drilling along the previously reported 6,150mN section. Results from holes such as 25IWBRC0049 and 25IWBRC0051 confirmed that mineralisation persists along strike and down dip, supporting Yandal’s evolving geological model for Arrakis.

“It is great to observe regular consistency in the position and continuity of higher-grade mineralisation across the Arrakis gold discovery,” Yandal managing director Chris Oorschot said.

“The higher-grade mineralisation associated with the eastern hanging-wall provides an opportunity for Yandal to target and explore for underground mineralisation.”

He added that the identification of shallow oxide mineralisation was strategically important as the company works to consolidate recent discoveries and build mineral resources through 2026.

Diamond drilling adds geological insight

Alongside the RC results, Yandal also reported further assays from its 2025 diamond drilling program at Arrakis. Eight diamond holes were completed for a total of 1,931 metres, with diamond tails to earlier RC holes and new holes designed to refine the geological and structural model.

Newly reported diamond intercepts include:

  • 9.0 metres at 0.5g/t gold from 281 metres
  • 5.6 metres at 0.5g/t gold from 267 metres
  • 2.8 metres at 0.8g/t gold from 375 metres

While grades from the diamond drilling are generally lower, Yandal said the holes provide valuable structural and geological data and reaffirm the extensive strike length of the Arrakis mineralised system.

Next steps and 2026 plans

Assay results from the remaining seven RC holes, along with two outstanding diamond holes, are expected over the coming weeks. An expanded exploration camp is scheduled to be established in February, with RC and diamond drilling set to recommence in March on tighter 100-metre-spaced lines.

Beyond Arrakis, Yandal expects further air-core results from the New England Granite target area shortly and is preparing heritage surveys at its Flushing Meadows project, which hosts a 268,000-ounce gold resource.

With a strong cash position and improved field infrastructure, the company plans to accelerate exploration activity across its Yandal and Norseman–Wiluna greenstone belt projects following the end of the wet season.
