Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (TSX-V:CH, OTCQB:CHHYF) announced that it has secured its first order for clean ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen from a customer based in New York State, marking its initial entry into the US market.
The customer is part of a large Japanese industrial conglomerate and is located in a technology-focused region often referred to as America’s Tech Valley.
The order represents an early step in Charbone’s cross-border commercialization efforts and signals interest in its UHP hydrogen supply from US-based industrial and technology users.
Charbone said the order will be fulfilled using its existing production capacity and forms part of a broader strategy to establish longer-term relationships with industrial and technology clients in North America.
The company did not disclose the volume, duration, or financial terms of the order, citing competitive considerations and limited supply of clean UHP hydrogen in the North American market.
Charbone noted that revenues from its production, distribution, and service activities are reported on a consolidated basis in its quarterly financial statements.
“Securing this first order for clean UHP hydrogen in the United States is a pivotal moment for Charbone,” said Dave Gagnon, Charbone’s CEO.
“Being selected by a client affiliated with a major Japanese conglomerate in New York State confirms the credibility of our platform, the quality of our UHP hydrogen, and our ability to meet the demands of the technology markets in North America.”
The order comes as demand for high-purity hydrogen continues to grow in advanced manufacturing and technology applications, particularly in regions with established semiconductor and electronics industries.
