Century Lithium Corp. (TSX-V:LCE, OTCQX:CYDVF) announced that it has appointed Dr Cormac O’Laoire as strategic advisor, adding expertise in lithium-ion battery materials and supply chains as the company advances its lithium development plans.
Dr O’Laoire has more than two decades of experience spanning lithium mining, chemical refining, and battery technology. His work has involved collaboration with governments, global battery manufacturers, and materials suppliers, with a focus on scaling the production of critical battery minerals.
He is currently managing director of Electrios Energy, where he advises on lithium supply chains, particularly the technical and commercial aspects of refining lithium into high-purity, battery-grade lithium carbonate.
His professional background also includes research with the US Department of Energy and experience related to lithium carbonate precursor active materials and cathode active materials used in electric vehicle batteries.
Based in Hong Kong for over 10 years, Dr O’Laoire brings international experience in battery supply chain development, competitive dynamics, and technological trends.
Century Lithium said that his perspective is expected to support its efforts related to the development of a domestic lithium and battery materials supply chain in the United States.
