Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR, OTC:RTRFF) has reported a series of high-grade gold intercepts from ongoing diamond drilling at its Western Queen project in Western Australia, highlighted by a standout hit of more than 30 grams per tonne gold beneath historical underground workings.
The latest results come from the company’s 20,000-metre drilling campaign, which resumed this month following the Christmas and New Year break and is aimed at extending and upgrading the existing gold and tungsten resources at the project.
High-grade gold at Western Queen Central
The headline result was returned from the first diamond drill hole completed at Western Queen Central, which intersected 5.8 metres at 30.72 g/t gold from 314.6 metres.
The hole targeted the up-plunge position beneath historical underground stopes and confirmed the presence of high-grade mineralisation in an area that had not previously been tested with modern drilling.

Managing director and CEO Peter Harold described the intercept as “spectacular”, saying it reinforced the potential for further high-grade discoveries at depth and along strike.
Drilling has now recommenced at Western Queen Central with one rig, initially focusing on down-plunge extensions of the newly identified high-grade shoot. Infill drilling around the intercept is planned in the near term, with a second rig expected to return in February.
Consistent results from Western Queen South
At Western Queen South, drilling has continued to deliver multiple high-grade gold intercepts, with assay results now received from the first 10 holes of the program.
Significant intersections include:
- 22.7 metres at 2.84 g/t gold from 203.3 metres, including 7.2 metres at 6.00 g/t gold
- 11 metres at 3.00 g/t gold from 247 metres, including 4 metres at 6.70 g/t gold
- 12 metres at 3.40 g/t gold from 283 metres, including 3 metres at 7.03 g/t gold
- 11 metres at 3.99 g/t gold from 284 metres, including 5 metres at 6.99 g/t gold

All holes drilled to date have intersected the predicted mineralised position, with nine of the first 11 holes returning significant high-grade results. The drilling has confirmed the continuity of mineralisation and supported the geological model underpinning the current resource.
A total of 23 diamond holes for 8,442 metres was completed at Western Queen South by the end of 2025, including deeper holes targeting down-plunge extensions between 340 and 440 metres’ vertical depth. Further infill and extension drilling is planned once the remaining assays are received later this month.
Tungsten continues to add upside
In addition to gold, drilling at Western Queen South has again intersected multiple zones of scheelite-hosted tungsten mineralisation, despite tungsten not being a primary target of the current program.
Notable tungsten intercepts include grades of up to 1.24% WO₃ over 1 metre, along with broader lower-grade intervals.
Rumble outlined that tungsten mineralisation at Western Queen represents an early skarn-related event that predates the gold system, and remains open in all directions. The company announced a maiden Inferred tungsten resource in August 2025 and is currently undertaking metallurgical test work on bulk scheelite samples to assess the potential for a concurrent tungsten revenue stream.
Next steps and resource growth
Rumble plans to continue drilling at both Western Queen Central and South, while progressing metallurgical test work and interpretation to support updated mineral resource estimates for both gold and tungsten in 2026.
Western Queen currently hosts an indicated and inferred gold resource of 370,000 ounces at an average grade of 3.1 g/t, with the latest results continuing to point towards resource growth.
