Standard Uranium finalizes drilling plans for Corvo project in Athabasca Basin

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) announced that it has finalized drilling and mobilization plans for the inaugural drill campaign at its Corvo uranium project, located in the eastern Athabasca Basin region.

Corvo is currently subject to a three-year earn-in option agreement with Aventis Energy. Under the agreement, Aventis may earn a 75% interest in the project by funding C$6 million in exploration expenditures over three years.

The first drill program is scheduled to begin in February 2026, with exploration teams mobilizing to the field ahead of schedule.

The winter drilling program will include approximately 2,500 to 3,000 metres across eight to 10 drill holes, targeting shallow basement-hosted uranium mineralization.

The drill plan will focus on high-priority areas, including the Manhattan Showing, where surface grab samples previously returned uranium assays of up to 8.10% U3O8.

The project will use skid-supported diamond drilling to investigate targets within 200 to 300 metres of the surface. One drill will specifically target the northern electromagnetic corridor to examine previously undrilled areas coinciding with modeled electromagnetic conductors.

"Our technical team and partners at Aventis are thrilled to begin drilling the exciting targets identified along more than 29 km of structural corridors on the project for the first time, exploring for shallow high-grade uranium mineralization," Standard Uranium president and VP exploration Sean Hillacre said in a statement.

"Our exploration thesis on the project is directly analogous to the targeting strategies that lead to nearby discoveries in the Wollaston Domain such as the Rabbit Lake deposit and the GMZ and Ackio zones."
