C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CUAUF) announces that it has restarted full exploration activities in Jamaica after restoring project infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Melissa, which made landfall on the island on October 28, 2025.
The company said restoration work allowed exploration programs to resume across its Jamaican projects while community assistance efforts were carried out in affected areas.
At the company’s 50%-owned Super Block project, C3 Metals said a phase one scout drilling program consisting of 14 holes totaling 2,500 metres is approximately 50% complete. Seven holes have been drilled to date, and drilling operations have recommenced.
At the 100%-owned Bellas Gate project, C3 Metals said exploration drilling has resumed using its company-owned, man-portable drill rig. The company noted that Freeport-McMoRan Exploration Corporation is currently funding exploration and project-related costs at Bellas Gate under a previously announced earn-in agreement. In addition, C3 Metals said it has resumed a 70-square-kilometre 3DIP geophysical survey at the project, with approximately 46 square kilometres completed so far.
Alongside infrastructure restoration, the company said it implemented a community assistance program in response to the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa. According to C3 Metals, the program included the delivery of food, water and basic care packages, road repairs and clearing to reconnect communities, and the provision of roofing and housing materials to support the rebuilding of homes and community buildings.
The company said the assistance program supported approximately 500 families across three communities while project infrastructure was being restored to enable the restart of exploration activities.
C3 Metals CEO Dan Symons highlighted that the safety of its workforce is the company’s number one priority, with exploration activities ceased a few days before Hurricane Melissa made landfall in order to make necessary preparations to keep people and equipment safe.
“At C3 Metals, we believe it is important to come together as a community during difficult times by ensuring our neighbours had access to food, water, and basic necessities and assisting in rebuilding homes and critical infrastructure,” Symons said.
“I am very pleased with how quickly our team was able to formulate and execute a much-needed Community Assistance Program for those most in need, closest to our project areas. I am also very happy to report that we have now restored all necessary project infrastructure and have restarted full exploration activities at both the Super Block and Bellas Gate projects in Jamaica."
