MedPal AI Plc (LSE:MPAL) shares moved on the front foot in Thursday's early deals, after it announced the launch of a direct AI integration between its consumer health app and MedPal Clinic on Thursday.
The company, in a statement, said the system connects eligible users with clinically supervised weight management pathways through its regulated pharmacy services.
It highlighted that its AI analyses aggregated user health data, including body mass index, to identify individuals who may qualify for GLP-1 assessments and other treatments available through MedPal Clinic. Only users meeting clinical criteria are directed to assessment pathways, the company said.
“We believe that this is a UK-first and that no other pharmacy has this depth of AI integration with a health app. Our system doesn't just advertise health supplements and weight loss treatments; it understands each user's health profile," chief executive Jason Drummond said.
MedPal shares rose 4.3% changing hands at 6.65p.
