First Phosphate rated ‘Outperform’ by Noble as Begin-Lamarche project advances toward feasibility

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS, OTCQX:FRSPF) has earned an ‘Outperform’ rating from Noble Capital Markets analysts as the company progresses its Begin-Lamarche phosphate project from exploration toward feasibility, supported by a combination of funding initiatives and operational milestones.

The company amended an existing offtake agreement, receiving a US$0.53 million upfront prepayment during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. The funds are earmarked to advance the project through a feasibility study and, eventually, production.

The prepayment is refundable if First Phosphate opts not to pursue feasibility or production, although Noble Analysts do not anticipate such a scenario. “In our view, the prepayment validates downstream interest and reinforces the strategic relevance of the company’s integrated phosphate platform,” the analysts wrote.

In December, First Phosphate closed the third and fourth tranches of its oversubscribed non-brokered private placement, raising approximately $9.6 million in gross proceeds. Total capital raised since June 2022 now stands at about $49.7 million.

Following recent warrant exercises and the offtake prepayment, management reports cash on hand of roughly $24 million, which the Noble analysts believe will be sufficient to fund planned activities through 2026 and into 2027.

The firm also highlighted that the company’s 30,000-metre drill program is in its final phase, with around 20,000 metres completed and the remaining 10,000 metres expected to conclude by April.

“After the completion of the program, the company will be positioned to focus on advancing resource updates and technical work in support of a feasibility study,” the analysts noted. “Completion of the program is expected to support resource conversion and provide greater geological confidence ahead of feasibility-level engineering.”

The firm awarded First Phosphate a $1.55 price target, implying upside from current levels of about $1.

“With the offtake pre-payment, completion of near-term funding with liquidity secured into 2027, the drill program entering its final phase, and management’s focus on advancing toward a feasibility study by year-end 2026, management is making timely progress advancing Begin-LaMarche toward commercialization,” the analysts concluded.
