Proteome Sciences shares jump 19% after landing $1.5m of new contracts

Shares in Proteome Sciences PLC (AIM:PRM) rose 19% to 3.21p after the company announced two further substantial laboratory services contracts, extending a run of recent commercial wins.

Proteome said the Good Clinical Laboratory Practice contracts have a combined value of more than $1.5 million and were secured following an earlier deal announced in December. Trial samples are expected to be shipped in late March, with most of the work scheduled to be completed during 2026.

The contracts relate to highly regulated laboratory analysis used in clinical trials, an area where Proteome Sciences has been seeing growing demand from large pharmaceutical and biotechnology groups.

Richard Dennis, chief commercial officer, said the company was experiencing “strong interest in GCLP work from major biopharma clients in both the US and Europe” and expected further orders to follow. He added that the latest wins, together with existing contracts, provide a strong order book supporting the business through 2026.

The update reassured investors that recent momentum is continuing, helping to drive the sharp move higher in the shares.
