Janus Electric jumps on US approval | ASX200 falls

The ASX200 closed lower on Tuesday, shedding close to half a per cent.

Materials bucked the trend, the sector shot up around 2 per cent, energy followed, whilst every other sector sunk into the red.

Green

Janus Electric was up after receiving approval from California’s Air Resources Board for its battery-electric truck conversion system under the HVIP incentives program. The decision allows eligible operators to access up to $90,000 in vouchers per converted Class-8 truck.

Orthocell reported record quarterly revenue of $3.2 million for the December quarter.

Red

Life360 plunged despite completing its acquisition of Nativo and reporting 50 million monthly active users in the U.S., up from 48.7 million in September.

Silex Systems was also down, its joint venture was not selected for a US$900 million U.S. energy program but did receive a separate US$28 million award.
