Aftermath Silver takes full ownership of Berenguela silver-copper-manganese project

Aftermath Silver Ltd (TSX-V:AAG, OTCQX:AAGFF) has taken full control of its flagship Berenguela silver-copper-manganese project after completing the final steps of a long-running acquisition process.

The TSX Venture Exchange-listed company said it has now completed the transfer of ownership of the Berenguela project after fulfilling the final payment obligations under its acquisition agreement with SSR Mining.

As a result, Aftermath now holds a 100% interest in the project through ownership of Sociedad Minera Berenguela SA and Fossores Ltd.

Berenguela, located in Peru, is a polymetallic asset that hosts silver, copper and manganese, the latter increasingly viewed as a critical battery metal.

CEO Ralph Rushton said the milestone strengthens Aftermath’s positioning as it works toward becoming a producing mining company.

“We're delighted to finally acquire 100% ownership of the Berenguela Ag-Cu-Mn project as we believe it has the potential to deliver significant leverage to silver, copper and manganese – a crucial battery metal – for our shareholders,” Rushton said. “This is a key step in the company's development into a producing mining company and an important supplier of critical minerals.”

Rushton added that the company is looking ahead to an active year, with plans to advance engineering studies while continuing exploration drilling across key targets at the project.

Executive chairman Michael Williams said full ownership of Berenguela, alongside the company’s Challacollo silver project in Chile, elevates Aftermath’s profile within the silver development space.

“Having secured a 100% interest in both Berenguela and our Chilean silver project, Challacollo, we believe Aftermath is now a prominent silver development company that can potentially supply the highly sought-after co-products, copper and manganese,” Williams said.

Berenguela is Aftermath’s flagship asset and has been the focus of extensive drilling aimed at upgrading historic mineral resources. A new mineral resource estimate was published in December 2025 following infill drilling designed to convert inferred resources into measured and indicated categories.

The company’s Phase 3 drilling program is currently underway and is targeting three main objectives, including testing un-drilled areas to the east and southeast of known mineralisation, where recent and historic drilling has returned strong copper results. The Copper East target previously delivered a 156-metre intercept grading 1.12% copper, 290 grams per tonne silver and 7.3% manganese, as well as the highest-grade silver intercept recorded at the project.

Drilling is also focused on areas expected to form part of the initial stages of future mining, as well as the SW Intrusive target, where permitting is said to be well advanced.
