Hays shares edge higher as chief executive returns after medical leave

Shares in Hays PLC (LSE:HAS) rose 1.3% to 55.55p after the recruitment group said its chief executive, Dirk Hahn, has returned to work following a short period of medical leave.

Hahn had been absent since November after undergoing surgery and has now completed his recovery, the company said on Monday.

During his absence, Michael Findlay, the group chair, stepped into an executive role to oversee day-to-day leadership alongside the senior management team. Findlay has now reverted to his previous position as non-executive chair.

Hays said the temporary arrangement ensured continuity while Hahn was away, allowing the business to continue executing its strategic and commercial priorities.
