Omega nominates two directors to Elixir Energy board

Omega Oil and Gas Limited (ASX: OMA) has exercised its rights under its Share Acquisition Agreement with Elixir Energy Ltd (ASX:EXR, OTC:ELXPF) to nominate two directors to Elixir’s board.

Omega acquired a 19.43% stake in Elixir through the two-tranche $16.6 million capital raising announced on November 25, 2025. The Omega-nominated directors were appointed effective January 1, 2026 and join (rather than replace) Elixir’s existing directors.

Elixir said Omega has also entered into a Conflict and Confidentiality Protocol with the company to manage potential conflicts of interest and the handling of information arising from Elixir’s joint venture arrangements.

“Omega’s strategic investment and the appointment of its nominee Directors further strengthen Elixir’s Board at an important stage in the company’s development. The Directors bring complementary expertise and industry insight that will support disciplined capital deployment, operational execution and value creation for shareholders,” Elixir Energy's non-executive chair said.

Omega-nominated directors

Peter Stickland

Stickland has more than 30 years’ global experience in oil and gas exploration. Earlier in his career, Stickland held technical and management roles at BHP Petroleum (now part of Woodside). He is a non-executive director of Omega, Melbana Energy and is a life member of Australian Energy Producers Limited.

Anthony Tarr

Tarr is a senior executive, director and academic leader with more than 40 years’ experience across the energy and resources sectors. He previously served as chief executive officer of ZeroGen Pty Ltd, leading feasibility work on a multi-billion-dollar low-emissions power project.
