U.S. Gold Corp raises $31M to advance gold project - ICYMI

U.S. Gold Corp (NASDAQ:USAU) chairman Luke Norman talked with Proactive about completing a $31.2 million capital raise and what the financing means for the company’s near-term development plans.

Norman explained that the capital raise was driven by strong demand from large gold-focused investment funds, many of which had followed the company’s progress for several years.

He described the financing as a “validation raise,” noting that it reflected investor confidence built through permitting, engineering work, and preparation for the company’s upcoming definitive feasibility study, which is expected in the new year.

The chairman said interest from institutional investors increased alongside strengthening gold prices and improving sentiment across the sector.

He highlighted that U.S. Gold Corp now has a permitted, shovel-ready gold and copper project at a time when both metals are attracting renewed attention from the market.

“It is testament clearly to the work and effort that's going in at U.S. Gold Corp,” Norman said.

Looking ahead, Norman outlined plans to begin site activity in January, including initiating permits to mine and securing industrial settings approvals.

He added that the company now has the capital required to move toward production and has received multiple approaches regarding project-level financing.

Norman also said the company may explore opportunities to add additional ounces to the existing deposit.

He acknowledged the support from long-term shareholders, noting strong participation from existing investors alongside new institutional funds.

Norman said the financing was ultimately capped at $31.2 million to manage dilution, despite being oversubscribed.
