Armadale Capital topped the charts after the perceived value of one of its portfolio companies moved up sharply.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes today.

RISERS

Armadale Capital (LON:ACP), up 26.8%. The investment company’s market value shot up to £2.5mln as it said its stake in Mine Restoration Investment (MRI) is valued at £900,000 or so, based on the price at which MRI recently placed shares.

Global Brands (LON:GBR), up 12.5%. The company has convened an extraordinary general meeting to vote on a number of resolutions, including a change of name to Infinity Energy to reflect the change of business from an investing company.

Milestone Group (LON:MSG), up 12.5%. The media and tech firm, saw a step up in revenues in its latest half year. The figure, at £260,000 for the six months to end March, exceeded the revenue for all of 2014 of £157,000.

FALLERS

Nova Resources (LON:NOVA), down 41.8%. The company reported a loss of £2.92mln for 2014, versus a loss of £477,699 the year before.

HSS Hire Group (LON:HSS), down 26.6%. The tool hire firm said trading in the second quarter was marginally below expectations.

Transense Technologies (LON:TRT), down 23.5%. The company is to raise £2mln through a placing of shares at 1.5p, and plans to raise up to £1mln more through a subscription at the same price. The shares eased 0.5p to 1.625p.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes among FTSE 350 stocks at 1.30pm.

RISERS

Grainger (LON:GRI), up 2.7%. Crystal Amber Fund, a specialist in investing in out-of-fashion companies, has upped its stake in the property owner above 3% to 3.08%.

That’s about it for risers; blame the Greeks.

FALLERS

TUI (LON:TUI), down 6.9%. Talking of Greece, it is one of the main holiday destinations offered by package tour operator TUI, so business prospects will not have been improved by Greece closing all of its banks down prior to next Sunday’s referendum on the EU’s bailout terms.

Thomas Cook (LON:TCG), down 3.9%. As for TUI, so for Thomas Cook, although less so, apparently.

International Consolidated Airlines (LON:IAG), down 3.2%. The airlines operator is another hit by fall-out from the contretemps between Greece and the EU, as is Wizz Air (LON:WIZZ), down 3.2%.

Here are some of the main movers at 9.30am..

RISERS

FTSE 100 took a hit due to Greece, but miner Randgold Resources (LON:RSS), rose 1.03%. It comes after a bullish note from broker Citi last week indicated potential upside to the share price.

Amur Minerals (LON:AMC) added 11.21% as it posted full year results and said an operational blueprint has been defined for the development of Kun-Manie in the Russian Far East.

Armadale Capital (LON:ACP), up 9.76%, as Mine Restoration Investment, in which it owns around 35%, is set to acquire up to a 39.2% interest in Iron Mineral Beneficiation Services Proprietary Limited (IMBS). MRI is also planning to raise £10.4m through a private placement of MRI.

FALLERS

IAG (LON:IAG), the airline giant, fell 3.21% as the EU continues to review its €1.4 billion bid for Aer Lingus (LON:AERL).

AIM quoted investors Nova Resources (LON:NOVA) plummeted 54.55% after its pre- tax loss in 2014 rose to £2.9 million from £477,699, mainly due to a writedown in the value of its holding in Tricor.

Progility (LON:PGY), down 34.09%, as it warned EBITDA was likely to be markedly below expectations for its final months before end June
