Happy Creek Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:HPY, OTC:HPYCF) CEO Steve Gray talked with Proactive about recent drilling results from the company’s Fox tungsten project in British Columbia.
Gray, who joined the company just one month ago, shared that he brings a mix of operational and M&A experience from Rio Tinto, Kinross, and Centerra.
He discussed results from a 2025 drill program at the project’s RC and BN zones, where the company is working to incrementally grow its existing high-grade tungsten resource.
“The resource is about 1% tungsten, which puts it at one of the highest-grade tungsten deposits in the world,” Gray said.
He noted that recent drilling encountered grades of up to 6% tungsten at the RC zone, with multiple intercepts also returned from BN. The mineralization remains open along strike and at depth.
Gray outlined plans for a much larger program in 2026, focused on both step-out and exploratory drilling, particularly to test beneath Deception Mountain.
He emphasized the critical importance of tungsten, a dense and hard material used in industrial and military applications, and noted the supply chain concerns given that 80% of global supply comes from China.
The company sees strong strategic potential in developing a secure North American supply source.
