SolGold (LON:SOLG) has completed its eleventh hole at the Cascabel copper/gold project in Ecuador.
Assays have already been reported down to a depth of 1,060m, which showed an intersection of 740m of 0.24% copper and 0.16 g/t gold with a high grade zone of 58m at 1,000m.
Drilling of the eleventh hole was halted at target depth of 1,668m, with the balance of assays to be reported when available.
SolGold added it also preparing an update of a cluster of targets that includes Alpala north-west, Alpala south-east, Chinambicito, Aguinaga and Tandayama-America.
The drill rig has been moved to hole twelve, which is also expected to go down to around 1,660m and will test the south east extensions of the high grades discovered in the fifth hole.
A second drill is currently being modified and expected to be on site in July.
