Tiger Alpha Plc (LSE:TIR) shares climbed on Thursday after it updated investors on the development of its wholly-owned Bittensor subnet, Tiger Alpha, which will be re-named as the 'Knowledge Delivery Network', or 'KDN-1'.
The subnet was acquired in May, for 200 TAO, and it is scheduled to become operational in the first quarter of 2026.
The company said work is progressing on building the subnet, which is intended to allow participants to contribute to decentralised artificial intelligence infrastructure. KDN-1 is designed to enable users to store and supply AI knowledge and earn rewards through participation in the network, it highlighted.
“We are encouraged by the steady progress of the KDN-1 subnet and are pleased to confirm that it is on track for full operational launch in Q1 2026.” He added that the development represents a milestone as the company builds revenue-generating infrastructure within the Bittensor ecosystem," said chief executive Jonathan Bixby said.
Tiger Alpha said KDN-1 is being designed to reduce AI operating costs by allowing models to reuse previously processed information, rather than recomputing data repeatedly.
In London, the share was up 11.8% changing hands at 0.56p.
