Tekmar shares soar on new UK offshore wind contract

Tekmar Group PLC (AIM:TGP) shares were up on Thursday, after it announced that it had secured an offshore wind contract valued in excess of €8 million with an existing engineering, procurement and construction customer.

The contract relates to a major UK offshore wind farm project. The scope of work includes the supply of its tenth-generation cable protection system and associated ancillaries.

Delivery is subject to final investment decision expected in early 2026, with project delivery planned for late 2027.

“We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with this customer through the award of another major project,” said chief executive Richard Turner.

He added that the contract builds on recent order book momentum and provides longer-term revenue visibility.

"This significant contract builds on our growing success and order book momentum, which is improving utilisation and provides longer-term revenue visibility."

Tekmar said revenue from the contract is expected to be phased across the group’s financial years 2026 and 2027.

In London, Tekmar shares rose by 1.55p or 18.8% changing hands at 9.8p.
