Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF) has commenced shipping prototype Stereax M300 solid-state batteries to customers, marking an initial commercial milestone for the product line.
The first shipments are being delivered to the twenty-one customers already included in the company’s existing order book.
The company said many of these customers have previously received Stereax batteries from its UK pilot line for evaluation. A portion of the early production will also be allocated to an internal testing programme designed to generate additional data for applications in active implantable medical devices.
“As one of the first customers to receive M300 prototypes, we are excited to be working with Ilika and Cirtec Medical to demonstrate the deployment of Stereax miniature batteries in our range of non-invasive microsensors for salivary health markers," said Daniel Weinstein, co-founder and chief executive officer of Lura Health.
Ilika said the shipments support the ten-year manufacturing agreement signed with Cirtec Medical in August 2023, under which Cirtec will manufacture the Stereax battery portfolio.
