The Small Cap Wrap: ASX 200 slides again, but XSO bucks the trend

The S&P/ASX 200 finished lower on Wednesday, shedding 13.70 points, or 0.16%, to close at 8,585.20, slipping below its 20-day moving average. Graincorp Ltd and Droneshield Ltd were the weakest performers in the index, falling 15.39% and 12.10% respectively.

The benchmark is broadly flat over the past 5 trading days but remains up 5.22% on a year-to-date basis.

Meanwhile, the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index edged higher, gaining 0.70 points, or 0.02%, to 3,683.70. The index has risen 28.00 points, or 0.77%, over the past 5 days.
