Advance Metals CEO Adam McKinnon talked with Proactive about the company’s current drilling campaigns across its gold and silver projects in Australia and Mexico.
McKinnon highlighted ongoing exploration at two major areas: the Myrtleford Project in Victoria — including the high-grade Happy Valley deposit — and three silver-rich assets in Mexico, including Yoquivo. “We are actively drilling in both of those project areas and looking forward to some imminent results,” he said.
At Myrtleford, the company recently reported a significant drill intercept of 3.7 metres at nearly 17 grams per tonne of gold, from a step-down hole 140 metres below the previous deepest. McKinnon said this suggests high-grade mineralisation extends from surface to around 500 metres depth.
In Mexico, Advance Metals holds 100 million ounces silver equivalent across its three projects and has set a medium-term target of 200 million ounces. Early efforts are focused on Yoquivo, where the company is working to expand and upgrade the current resource.
Looking ahead to 2026, McKinnon said the company anticipates “a significant number of potentially high-grade results” from multiple programs, including resampling at Yoquivo and fresh drill results from Victoria. A JORC-compliant resource update for Yoquivo is also on the horizon.
