The Small Cap Wrap: ASX 200 and XSO slip into the red

The S&P/ASX 200 ended Monday in the red, losing 62.30 points, or 0.72%, to finish at 8,635.00 after earlier setting a new 20-day high. The weakest performers on the benchmark were Deep Yellow Limited and Boss Energy Ltd, down 8.53% and 8.19% respectively. The index is little changed over the past 5 sessions but remains up 5.83% year to date.

The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index (XSO) slipped 0.58% to 3,672.80, although it is still 0.71% higher over the past 5 days.
