Chesnara PLC (LSE:CSN) has received UK regulatory approval for its £260 million acquisition of HSBC Life (UK), clearing a key hurdle for the deal announced in July. The life and pensions consolidator said work is now progressing towards completion by the end of January 2026. Once finalised, the acquisition will add further scale to Chesnara’s UK operations, expanding its book of long-term savings and protection policies and reinforcing its strategy of buying established insurance businesses with predictable cash flows.
