Lindian Resources Investor Relations Manager Hannah Murphy talked with Proactive about the company’s recent progress at its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi.
Murphy discussed the awarding of all major non-process infrastructure (NPI) contracts, marking a pivotal transition from early works to full-scale construction. “Every piece of critical infrastructure to support Kangankunde is now committed and progressing,” she noted, adding that components include the mining workshop, administration building, tailings facility, power line corridor, and more.
She also outlined Lindian’s recent move to secure full ownership of Kangankunde. The company completed the final tranche of its acquisition early, paying the remaining $10.00 million ahead of schedule. “It provides a clean and more simplified structure so that we can commence full strategic and operational control,” Murphy explained.
On the ground, drilling has now commenced at the North Knoll prospect, located around 800 metres from the central resource. The program is designed to assess resource continuity and potential for higher-grade early feed.
Looking ahead to 2026, Murphy said investors can expect steady news flow, with NPI package deliveries, processing plant contract awards, and fleet mobilisation all planned.
