Aftermath Silver begins new drilling programs in Peru and Chile

Aftermath Silver Ltd (TSX-V:AAG, OTCQX:AAGFF) announced that it has begun a new phase of drilling at its Berenguela silver-copper-manganese project in southern Peru and has also commenced drilling at its Challacollo silver-gold project in northern Chile.

The company said the Berenguela program includes 4,000 metres of diamond drilling and 2,000 metres of reverse-circulation drilling.

Drilling at Challacollo, located in Chile’s Region 1, is expected to total between 1,000 and 2,000 metres of core drilling.

Berenguela is Aftermath’s flagship asset, and the latest campaign follows the release of an updated mineral resource estimate earlier this month. Recent work at the site has centred on infill drilling to convert inferred resources to the measured and indicated categories.

According to the company, the new program aims to test unexamined areas in the eastern and southeastern parts of the deposit, where earlier drilling identified high copper grades, including what it highlighted as the longest copper intercept to date.

Additional objectives include upgrading parts of the indicated resource, improving definition of mineralization between central and northern zones, and collecting a bulk sample for future metallurgical testwork.

Aftermath has contracted AK Drilling of Lima to carry out the work using a D800 rig, which the company said allows for drilling in steeper terrain with reduced site preparation requirements.

"Aftermath is focused on drilling both Berenguela and Challacollo, and considering the current silver price these programs should further highlight Aftermath's exposure to silver,” Aftermath CEO Ralph Rushton said in a statement.

“With the prices of silver and copper climbing, it's an opportune time for us to be following up at Berenguela and to advance Challacollo. I look forward to reporting the first assays from both programs in Q1 2026."
