Orthocell Sales Managing Director and CEO Paul Anderson talked with Proactive about the company’s first commercial sale of Remplir in Hong Kong, marking the beginning of its commercial presence in Asia.
Anderson said this milestone follows recent regulatory approvals in Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong, with the company now successfully translating approval into usage within just five months. “We’re really delighted about the beginning of a really exciting journey into this Asian hub in Hong Kong,” he said.
He highlighted the strategic importance of Hong Kong as a gateway to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which represents a population of over 100 million. Orthocell sees the city as a key entry point for broader regional expansion, particularly into Chinese markets.
To support its commercial activities, the company recently appointed an Asia-Pacific Commercial Director with over 20 years of experience in regional healthcare markets. This appointment complements internal expertise, including strong local relationships through Chief Scientific Officer Professor Ming.
Orthocell has partnered with Mount Spade as its distributor, chosen for its deep market connections and a complementary product portfolio. The company plans to commence broader in-market activities in Q1, with leadership spending significant time on the ground working with hospitals and surgeons.
