Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL, OTC:RVSGF) has extended shallow gold mineralisation at the Northern Zone Intrusive Hosted Gold Project near Kalgoorlie, reporting assays from a further six drillholes that confirm and expand the mineralised footprint within the Kalgoorlie Gold Project, 25km east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The latest drilling continues to intersect the mineralised tonalite–trondhjemite intrusion (TTI) over an increasing area and supports the broader gold mineralisation model. Importantly, gold has now been intersected in a previously undrilled “saddle” between the eastern and northwestern mineralised zones, with modelling indicating potential for these zones to link. The eastern extension also returned significant gold mineralisation in the final drillhole on that line, further expanding the overall footprint.
Key results from this second batch of assays include:
- 5m at 3.09 g/t Au from 47m (NZAC152)
- 6m at 0.72 g/t Au from 66m (end of hole) (NZAC152)
- 6m at 0.65 g/t Au from 32m (NZAC153)
- 1m at 11.0 g/t Au from 46m (NZAC153)
- 8m at 0.62 g/t Au from 32m (NZAC154)
- 2m at 1.47 g/t Au from 49m (NZAC155)
- 7m at 1.58 g/t Au from 42m (NZAC156)
- 2m at 1.32 g/t Au from 44m (NZAC157)

“Intersecting these gold grades in the previously undrilled saddle area between the eastern and the northwestern shallow gold zones is highly significant as it demonstrates the potential for these two zones to join together. Our modelling suggests that this could constitute a ~600m wide zone of shallow oxide mineralisation overlying the Northern Zone porphyry system.
“We are still awaiting results from 9 drillholes from the grade control drill rig program, and 28 vertical air core drillholes from the drilling have just been submitted to the lab. With results from these 37 drillholes expected in the coming weeks, we are looking forward to a constant stream of news-flow leading into the New Year.

Results confirms mineralised porphyry and opens new “saddle” zone between eastern and northwestern lodes
Northern Zone mineralisation is hosted within the TTI unit, which exhibits a high background gold content with horizontal gold-bearing zones.
The project lies within the Cannon Shear or fault zone, with further drilling required to define the limits of mineralisation. The predominantly horizontal mineralisation has allowed drilling to be completed perpendicular to the gold zones, and the absence of water to 60m depth makes the TTI well-suited to the drilling techniques used.
Riversgold has now finished its 2025 drilling at Northern Zone.
Assay results from a further 37 drillholes are pending and will be received in batches over the coming weeks. A key SW–NE cross-section generated using Leapfrog 3D software, based on significant intercepts reported to April 2025, will be updated as the remaining assays are incorporated.
