IMAX Corp (NYSE:IMAX) received a price target upgrade from Wedbush analysts following the company’s 2025 Investor Day, with the firm raising its price target to $46 from $39 and maintaining an 'Outperform' rating.

IMAX shares jumped more than 8% following the event, trading at about $38 in the early afternoon on Monday.

Shares of Wave Life Sciences (NASDAQ:WVE) surged more than 126% on Monday after the biotech company reported early clinical data showing its experimental obesity treatment led to significant reductions in body fat and gains in lean mass.

The Phase 1 study gave participants a single 240 mg injection of WVE-007, an experimental therapy. Three months later, those who received the drug had nearly 10% less belly fat, lost about 4.5% of their total body fat, and gained roughly 4 pounds of muscle.

International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) said on Monday it has agreed to acquire Confluent Inc, a data streaming platform used by clients including Anthropic, Amazon Web Services and Google, in an all-cash deal valued at $11 billion.

Confluent, which focuses on connecting, processing, and managing reusable data for AI deployments, will continue operating as a standalone business under IBM.

Paramount Skydance (NASDAQ:PSKY) has made an all-cash offer to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery Inc (NASDAQ:WBD, XETRA:J5A) in a move directly challenging a previously announced deal with Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX, XETRA:NFC).

Paramount is offering $30 per share in cash for all outstanding shares of Warner Bros, valuing the company at approximately $108.4 billion, or around $82 billion to $83 billion including assumed debt.

Thruvision shares jumped 25% to 0.91p on Monday after the security technology group said it had received a notice of intent to award a new contract for its SpotCHECK people-screening system at a major airport in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

The deal, expected to be finalised by 13 December following routine procurement steps, comes from an existing customer and will involve two of Thruvision’s latest 8116 walk-through screening cameras.

Hydrogen Utopia International PLC (LSE:HUI, OTCQB:HUIPF) shares fell 27% to 2.3p after the waste-to-hydrogen company announced a placing with its first institutional investor, raising £600,000 gross.

The placing involved the issue of 26.6 million new ordinary shares at 2.25p each. In addition, 13.3 warrants were issued at an exercise price of 3p, on a one-for-two basis, valid for 24 months from issue.
