G Mining Ventures Corp (TSX:GMIN, OTCQX:GMINF) announced that it has secured a 20-year mining license for its Oko West gold project in Guyana, marking the final major permitting step required to move the project into full construction.
The company said that the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission granted the license effective December 5, authorizing development, operations, and commercial gold production at the 100%-owned project.
The approval follows the company’s receipt of a Final Environmental Permit on September 2 and its formal construction decision on October 23.
Early works at Oko West began earlier this year under an Interim Environmental Permit and have continued under the final permit, enabling uninterrupted progression toward full construction.
With all major approvals now in place, G Mining Ventures said it is advancing project development. Pre-production open-pit mining is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with assembly of the initial equipment fleet already underway.
