RISERS
Daniel Stewart (LON:DAN), up 41.0%. The stockbroking and wealth management firm’s shares surged to 2.93p after it raised £1.2mln through a share sUBScription at 3.35p per share.
Imaginatik (LON:IMTK), up 27.1%. Robert Terry bought 942,500 shares on 22 June 2015 at prices of between 7.59p and 8.27p, taking the former Quindell boss’s stake up to 4.17% of the issued share capital of Imaginatik.
Eden Research (LON:EDEN), up 24.8%. The natural micro-encapsulation company has received notice that the three active ingredients, which form part of multiple plant protection products developed by Eden, have been granted approval for inclusion in Annex IV to Regulation (EC) Number 396/2005.
FALLERS
Trap Oil (LON:TRAP), down 36.0%. Trap Oil has not had the best of luck with exploration wells, and it has come up with another duff one in Niobe P1989.
Independent Resources (LON:IRG), down 32.5%. The loss for the year virtually doubled to £6.48mln in 2014 from £3.34mln in 2013.
Sefton Resources (LON:SER), down 21.1%. The company has entered into a development agreement to explore a potential transaction involving producing oil and gas assets in Indonesia.

RISERS
Petrofac (LON:PFC), up 5.2%. German finance house Berenberg has issued a research note on the oilfield support services firm advocating its clients buy the stock. Berenberg has a price target of 1,020p for Petrofac, which released a trading update on Tuesday. Nomura, meanwhile, has also issued a ‘buy’ note, with the price target whacked up to 1,130p from 765p.
Hunting (LON:HTG), up 4.1%. Petrofac’s sector peer took a biffing yesterday, but is bouncing back today, helped by a solid update from another sector peer, Wood Group.
Smith (DS) (LON:SMDS), up 3.0%. The recycled corrugated packaging giant announced plans to acquire what it called “the corrugated activities” of Grupo Lantern, including many in which Smith already has a minority holding. Smith’s full-year results were far from crinkly as it increased profit before tax by 30% on roughly flat revenues.
FALLERS
Ladbrokes (LON:LAD), down 2.0%. The excitement about its possible merger with the betting interests of Gala Coral is dying down, while concerns over competition issues are on the rise.
Admiral (LON:ADM), down 1.45. Citi says get rid of the car insurer’s shares, and casts doubts on its ability to maintain its juicy dividend.
Elementis (LON:ELM), down 0.7%. The speciality chemicals company crashed and burned yesterday after a trading statement, and today both JP Morgan Cazenove and UBS have abandoned positive stances on the stock and moved to a neutral rating.

Sage Group (LON:SGE) was top riser on Footsie as it had a 'buy' stance repeated by US heavyweight Citi.
Afren (LON:AFR), up 12.5% as it emerged the entire board is stepping down after the AGM.
Go-Ahead Group (LON:GOG) rose 0.93% as it said it was in a good financial position and had a strong balance sheet.
FALLERS
Trapoil (LON:TRAP), down 40%, as it emerged no hydrocarbons had been found at the Niobe exploration well in the UK North Sea.
Aminex (LON:AEX), down 8.33%, as it secured £1.67mln (US$2.64mln) to help fund drilling plans in Tanzania.
The company is to issue 88mln new shares at a price of 1.9p each, a discount of about 10% to Wednesday’s closing price of 2.1p.
Insurer Admiral (LON:ADM) dropped 2.38% to 1,397p as it Citi downgraded the stock to 'sell' from 'neutral'.
