NEXTDC (ASX:NXT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OpenAI to develop a sovereign AI infrastructure partnership under the OpenAI for Australia program. The parties will work together on the planning, development and operation of a next-generation hyperscale AI campus and large-scale GPU supercluster at NEXTDC’s S7 data centre site in Eastern Creek, Sydney.
Following the announcement, NXT shares rose 8% to $14.52 in early trading. At midday shares were 6.36% higher at $14.29.
