FI Joint Venture Pty Ltd managing director Reza Azimi talked with Proactive about the company's presence at the Resourcing Tomorrow 2025 event and the importance of networking in the mining sector.
Azimi explained that in-person events like these enable valuable technical discussions that can directly solve operational challenges. “The best platform is networking in mining, for development, for improvement in mining efficiency,” he said.
He noted that the expo provided FIJV with the opportunity to connect directly with potential investors — a critical step as the company moves into the next phase of its magnetite iron ore project. The project is based in the mid-west region of Western Australia and has already secured key infrastructure, permitting, and water access.
Azimi highlighted that the company is now focused on boosting cash flow and securing investment. He added that if sufficient funding is secured, project activity could begin by mid-next year, with a production target around 2030.
“The money in the project will be around 2030, first production will be out from the company,” Azimi explained.
